time warp TR7

Wow....I am near speechless. This could be a reference car literally.

Same color combo as my car. Except my car is a Speke built car (July 1977) and this is a Canley built car (Dec 78).

My car is nice....but it's NICE to see one nicer! I believe the 14,000 original miles claim.

Enjoy.

A good starting point.[:)]

With that little milage there still may be lots to do. Rubber, hoses, belts, cylinder kits, all the stuff that is age related. Similar to what I started with (except 86,000 mles) and I still spent another 4,000 in it.
Picture of my trunk untouched.

Acylic Lacquer?? Is that what they used? I would have though some sort of baked enamel by 79.

Location is about 2 1/2 hrs from me. Unfortunately, $7500.00 is a fortune for a hard top Wedge over here even if it came out of a time capsule. And they admit the paintwork (whatever it is) is begining to fail. Still nice to look at.

Certainly looks very nice indeed,
but $7500,00 is quite a lot of money for a standard FHC [:p]

I believe it is just a matter words. The correct name would be thermoplastic acrylic. TPA for short. It is sprayed on then baked to get the shine.

You can see the original "TPA PAINT" sticker on my turret. The view was cut off on the DHC so can't see if it has one.

it's a nice clean example...but not perfect enough for the money [;)]

-the radio bezel is cracked on the left
-the shifter boot is missing the black grommet finisher
-one of the hvac levers is missing the knob
-non original speakers
-surface rust abound in the engine compartment
-and the steering wheel badge is crooked [:0]

I also think (like spyder) that there's a ton of maintenance to be done, just to bring it up to reliable driving condition .......honestly I'd say this is more like a max 5000$ car.

on a side note, atleast nobody has put a hole in the roof .......

He has had this car on eBay before (I remember it because I used one of the pics he had for a screensaver/background). He had an old Lincoln Mark VII on at the time as well. I see he has an equally old Delta 88 for sale,so I'm guessing he pretty much sticks to old cars. I'd love to upgrade to this from my 75,but 3 TR7s in the drive at the moment would not be good for my health (wink). I like it,but as others said,he should come down a bit on the price.

No affiliation but this sounds a better deal. A steal if it is what they say IMO.

Very good price but it's been painted, wrong graphics, wrong radio, you know what those seat covers are covering, would like to see under bonnet, but if it's rust free that can all be fixed.

Oh I didn't figure it was perfect. And I'm certainly no expert on Spyders either. Just that in this neck of the woods, 2 grand won't buy a decent used Dodge Neon.[;)]

Jim

Almost reached the 1000 message mark. You should have something more to say about something....at least one more time ...congratulations.
