That is one pretty engine bay. Why did you put the battery in the trunk Steve? Now you won't be able to put your golf clubs in the trunk.[:)]

Steve, when I put new rubber on the air scoop I had to raise the latch point of the bonnet so it stood up a bit, hoping it would settle down after the rubber was compressed through the hot summer. Well it's been through a few summers now and it still hasn't settled. While I'm not sure it's as high as yours the effect is more noticable on a yellow car and not as much on a black car as the black line melds in to the black of the car. Not sure what the answer is other than time. I assume there is a difference between original rubber and that available now.

Hi Spyder

Yes i do agree with the new rubber seals, i have bought some new ones, but to be fair the older ones gave me the same problem, i think its how like the said, the airscoop itself and how it sits on its lugs, the seals? but i also think the bonnet is out of line as when i took the airscoop out yes the bonnet went down well but it wasnt level with the shot lines, so think in the summer a bit of fettling may be called on a lovely day, when the sun is shining & more patience [:D]
I will keep you informed.
