TR racing at Knockhill Scotland?

Postby TR8 leader » 18 Nov 2009 18:53

New member here!!!!
Hello to all
who are we? we are a small race team currently 5 tr8s and one tr7 with a dolly sprint engine, with some more in build stages ( as you do), based in sunny Scotland with knock hill being our local circuit.

What have we been up to??
We have been competing
in the Scottish classics with varying degrees of success, but have lots of sideways action and fun along the way we can be found on YouTube under TR8 squadron, and in Google, and if you have sky and can stay up late we are regular feature on there.
We are now thinking that its time we spread our wheels and are considering doing a few races down south next year. in doing so we would also like to extend the possibility and invitation for any south based racers to come up and race with us, either in the classics or if there’s enough interest we could organize a few races for Trs only....any takers??
I have came to a tentative agreement with the organisers of "Scottish speed fair" where if we can fill a grid then we can have TR only races over the weekend, which is also the highlight of the Scottish motorsport calendar, next to the btcc, also held at Knock hill.
Hope to hear soon as we all try to work out our calendars for next year.

Best regards aka TR8 squadron leader

Yes - have watched you in action at the Speed Fair! Impressive stuff - although rear tyres seemed to go 'off' quite quickly! Leading to some lurid handling...... Good to see TR7/8 in action - keep up the good work!

good to see that we are appreciated!!!!
the Morgans of course were laterly found out to be using traction control, and sadly wont be with us next year!!!!
we plan a full 7 TR8s out next year and 1 TR7 with a dolly sprint engine, looks like a fun year
