So I have a ragtop TR7 (was a $200 junkyard heap) that I shoved a highly tuned smallblock Chevy motor in. This thing is extremely fast, but handles horribly. Also I don't so much like the looks of this car - I realize I am probably saying this to the wrong folks, since you guys are all TR7 nuts... but I want a different look.
So I have three questions, really:
What can I do to make this thing handle better? Are there kits available where I can just buy all the stuff at once, and it can actually handle the 350 horsepower I am throwing at it, and actually handle a turn without something scraping?
What about wheels? It seems I'm kind of limited from the lug pattern on this thing (I am using the Triumph rear end which has been plenty stout, just modified the driveshaft coming from my Chevy transmission). I'd like a larger and more sporty looking wheel - also wider, for sure.
Finally, body kits - what is available? I see the group 44 body kit out there... but is there something different? As far as looks go, I'd love something with a smaller rear end, and a lot more "rounded" of a look - for example like a Shelby Cobra, an older Porsche style look - something like that. Yes, I know here aren't Cobra kits for the TR7 - but I'm wondering if there's any other kits besides the Group 44 kit that maybe is kind of more like what I am describing.
Really glad to find this forum, and I hope I haven't started off on the wrong foot by offending purists here with the rape and continued abuse of my TR7.
