Did BL actually use any paint on their '70's cars? Judging from the paint "quality" we often received here in the US, it's hard to get excited about "BL paint."

I've had great luck in getting NAPA to match up paint color codes for touch ups here. If you have the color codes, they can create "spray bombs" cans for about $15 apiece.

Is the paint enamel or lacquer?

Enamel thins with paint thinner or turpentine.

Lacquer needs lacquer thinner (specific).

And yes, shipping by air or ship requires a hazardous cargo fee. The fee is better absorbed by a whole container load, or at least a pallet load. [V]

Bio Hazzard[?] Crickey even TR paint is complicated.I have been to see the paint guy and he was not there[:(!].I asked the guy on the next stall and found out that he is in spain for the winter ! Markets must pay well.I also found out that the paint is from a Unipart depot that went under around the same time as Rover group. He has a gargage full of the stuff along with floor mats and other general Rover logo stuff.Bad news is as I say he is in the costas.Watch this space.

Nah. No BIO hazard, just hazardous as in flammable (mostly). I doubt that it is latex (water base) paint. So I am guessing that shipping involves hazardous cargo charges. [:(]
