hi im new to the triumph tr7 i am only 18 and as soon as i saw the beautiful tr7 i knew i wanted one, even though it needs an awful lot of work doing to it can anyone please recomend parts from different car makers that fit the tr7 as i cannot quite find all parts i need for my tr7 and want it up and running asap many thanks.

May we politely suggest you use the SEARCH function and do a lot of reading of the various articles and discussions on the variety of repair/restoration aspects of the TR7. You may well find that a battle you are about to start with some aspect of your car has already been fought and won here on the forums. Items like water pumps, head removal, gearbox overhaul, clutch and brake hydraulics, interior and exterior renovations, window handles. This list goes on and on.

Please read the forums and we will be here for your questions and war stories.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you plan to do the work yourself. Way to go. Nothing like driving a car you got working yourself. Just about every part is available somewhere and anything you can't resolve with an OEM manual (bought or downloaded) can pretty much be answered by the expertise here. And the best part is you'll be driving something that is unique these days.

Welcome to the forum Stef. Are you sure you've bought an actual TR7 or is it in fact a donor car for the car you should've bought? Sorry, that's a bit of a harsh joke but it's a question that most of us ask ourselves at some point of a big do-up. Many of us have gone thru the same thing so if you ever lack motivation we will know how to get you over the hump. The best thing we can hear is news of another wedge getting back on the road so if there is anything you need just ask.

Photos are the biggest aid in understanding what your problems are so have a look at this thread on how to post pictures of your baby. http://www.forum.triumphtr7.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8388. Start a blog so you have something to look back on & see how much progress you've made.

just ask your questions and post your pics as these cars are sooo cheap i would say it's best to buy a reasonably good one first
