Ebay find with no reserve!

Postby Bill » 29 Sep 2009 11:33

Stumbled upon this little gem: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110439942824&category=6469&_trksid=p4340.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D10%26ps%3D63
Looks nice and only about 50 miles from me.Only wish I had more room in the garage....

Can't say I've ever seen anything like that with no reserve or at least a higher starting bid. I'll bet there are some planted bidders waiting to bail this out. I can't see anyone sane giving that car away.

But what would the neighbors think...or the boss...have to watch this one.

I just bumped it to 500 bucks for giggles.[}:)] For that, or maybe more, I'd take a road trip!

Would be a lot of fun at the strip, or scary? [:D]

This is a much better ebay find.........#52 of 116 Preproducion Coupes with cruiser written all over it!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Triumph_ ... 0365771773

If I did not buy a 1980 TR8 Coupe this would be in my garage.....better gas mileage, can be driven in the rain, carries luggage and no worries about a spare tire in case of a flat!

I'm with you Michael. If this car was in Washington still and not in Alabama it would likely be crossing the border in a week.

See I even have a spot for it.[:D]

I know the seller Tim Greenle for many years and he does not own or buy junk. He lives in Alabama so that is where the car is. It is still worth it all day long!

With winter coming on, I need that coupe up here in Anchorage. If it was still in Washington, I would be tempted, too!

Just painted it with Rustoleum Epoxy Garage Floor Paint with the good weather we've had. (Half the Garage floor, the junk is all on the other side.)[:)]

It'll be a week before I can put the Spider back in. (curing time).
