Malvern show.

Postby nofinchance » 23 Jul 2009 19:26

Hi, anyone going to the Triumph show this Saturday at Malvern? I will try and make it there. It is only about 10 miles from me so I will push the Tr if I have to[:(!].
Totaly unrelated but while I am posting I have been meaning to ask about the light on the dash opposite the [choke] symbol .The one on the other side labeled [oxygen sensor] Mine never lights.Should it? if it does is that a 'panic moment'[:0].What is it connected too and what is it for?
Steph[:X]

OOOO ta Zoe[:)].The good news is I don't have a Lambdy watsit or catalitic converter to worry about then.Just rust, the clock never working(except twice a day),those pesky lights, lucas wiring, etc etc[:p] So still pleanty to keep me up at night.

Hi Steph,
As my learned friend Zoe says for emission vechs, modern cars have them, by law in some countries.
If you go on Saturday to Malvern then you have to but a weekend ticket £20 [:0] or go Sunday for a tenner!! Not sure about going, want to go to Silverstone Saturday for classic car racing and concert after, could be a late one!
Cheers John

Did not know the ticket prices were structured like that.Sunday may be a better bet then as to be honest I realy just want a mooch in the spare parts stalls.Classic racing and a concert sounds good as well. It's not classical music as well is it[:p] Have a good time john lets hope this 'bbq summer' arrives for the weekend.

Hi Steph,
If Billing (and most car shows) is anything to go by you always get more cars there on the Sunday, hows your running now [?]
Classic car racing and concert on a hot Saturday dont get alot better [8D] IMHO of course! I some might say its just a bunch of rich guys and gals playing with there cars BUT if i had there money would i do the same DAM right i would [}:)] Better seeing a historic car raced than sat in a museum! OH sorry to hijack your post [:I]

john,
The worst thing you can do from a plane is to telephone your friend jack.Picture it,you dial he picks up you shout for all the aeroplane to hear...... "Hi Jack"[:D]
Your racing and concert sounds fun and I am with you on the If I could I would thing. We (royal we) My Husband and I saw a gathering of classics in Lisbon on holiday a few years ago. There was everything from MGs to Astons. The owners were touring Europe on some sort of rally.I was so jealous!!! Mind you most of the drivers were called Tarquin and wore cravats[:o)].
My car is still needing attention to the headlights and is running a bit ruff. The company Mechanic is having a look for me Saturday AM as he is dying to see this damn car I never shut up about. As for your 'Tenting'.....[:I] [:D]

Hi Steph,

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]!!! Your headlights are probaly bad connection /earth hopefully something easy and more important cheap!Mine when i flash them, refuse to stop going up and down from time to time!!
Girls have banned me from putting tent up Zoe!!(couldnt see the problem watching Glanstonberry whilst in a tent to get that concert vibe [;)] ) I am living up to a fridge magnet they brought me-

LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO BECOME AN EMBARRASMENT TO YOUR KIDS!!

Hey John,
Hope your weekend went off OK.I decided to give Malvern a miss in the end due to being tied up most of Saturday and the poor weather Sunday.Saturday morning was spent making tea for the HGV fitter at my husbands work while he tuned the TR.The timing was out and the carbs were out of tune. Also the carb fuel chambers still had rust in from the old fuel tank.It only took him an hour and he mutterd"now I know why I stopped working on cars" more than once but my car runs better than ever now[:D].As for the lights I am just trying to find the time and courage to look at them. They light ok but won't lift. That idiot garage I had trouble with has messed and unplugged it all and on top of that it is rewired anyway from the auto electrician who ment them before. So nothing matches the wireing diagram.I think this summer is drive drive drive and the winter will be fix fix fix.[:0]

Hi Steph,
Ended up having to work Saturday morning so missed Silverstone [:(] BUT got Wendsday off as a deal [:D] so can wash car ready for Classics On The Common that evening (cars NOT music [;)]) Did think about Silverstone / Malvern today but got up with a thick head so watched Silverstone on telly live [:)]
Nothing worse than having to re do someone else work, let alone two peoples!! Shame you had hassle getting to Billing, could made some progresss with your lights for sure. If you get stuck you know where we are!
Cheers John
