Bromley Pageant of motoring

Dont know how many people knew this was on but it is a huge car show for mostly older (over 20yrs) cars. I made it in the 7 with its sprint engine freshly installed. As always an amazing show but I only counted about 6 wedges! Where are they all? There were so many Triumph Stags you could have walked from one end of the show to another without toching the floor if they were parked end to end. The TR section was very small - the advantage of that being despite mine being the tattiest there people still looked at it without laughing. Here are a few pics.

Hi,
Great pictures [:D] I never been to Bromley always clashes with one of the local shows [:(] That super charged Stag was a Stoneleigh this year, nice install, did he actually run it up [?] would imagine sounds a little different from your average Stag [:p]
Cheers John

I've been noticing fewer wedges as well this year. We'll see what the rest of the year brings. The good news is that after peoples eyes go boingy after seeing MGB after MGB and TR6 after TR6 it refreshes them to see something different and you get some genuine interest (and lots of pictures).

I went this year for the first time (you missed my car, but it was in the exhibitors car park where a nice WPC directed me, it helps to drive up in an old car). I went to meet Kev Todd of Essex Rebels but in the end he could not make it. I was amazed by the thousands of cars (literally!) and, as you say, the lack of wedges, but I find that generally. I think it is advertised as one of the biggest shows in the UK.
I go to a number of smaller shows and mine is frequently the only one. For anyone in the south east (or anywhere else), there is the Darling Buds show at Bethersden on 12th July which should have a few wedges as the Rebels are theatening to bring several (plus mine), and there are normally hundreds cars of all types there.

Wow, very interesting thinking there FI, I'll buy that theory!!
- as I also get board very quickly when looking at any more than a 1/2 dozen or so MGB OR TR6's at a time.(though maybe it's also because honestly I don't really care for them all that much either???)

Ron.
