Drive it Day

Postby danny » 25 Apr 2009 07:41

Hi,

Here in the UK tomorrow is Drive it Day. Grampian Triumph Clubs www.brmmbrmm.com/grampiantr.bb have organised a run from Aberdeen to Montrose.

Is there anyone else participating in this national event?

Well I am not driving all the way up to Aberdeen Danny but some of us Southerners are doing the New Forest Run which is held as part of Drive It day.

The NF run is organised primarily for Triumphs (of all types) but there does seem to be the odd interloper tagging along each year, like an E type or a Porche [:D]

There is a thread on the Events page about it.

Doing the "stilton run" from Quemby Hall in Leicestershire (where stilton cheese is made) to Stilton in Cambs(?) where it is/was sold along with a group of guys from the Northants & Leics group of CT. Supposed to sort of follow the route taken by the horse drawn transport with the cheese years ago.

Save me some Stilton - great cheese that is hard to find on this island. Only 1 seasonal shop carries it and their order has not come in yet.

British Car Week in the US is celebrated May 30 - June 7.

Drive 'em hard!!

We had a great day. Good run to the House of Dun, and home over the Cairn O' Mount [:)]
