Not right for the TR7 in my opinion, the wood dash finished with the TR6, the 7 was the start of a new era, the first car with a full width moulded dash in plastic. The new material for the 70's.
The stick on wood is just like the glue....tacky

The exposed top of the dash panel would be a tough place for any varnished wood. As a caretaker of summer houses on this island, I get to refinish a lot of wood pieces, from furniture to boats. The sun is tough enough on our wedges.

As others have said well, the TR-7 design leaves the wood and organic seat fillers TR's behind for the wonders of plaid and plastic. We don't have to love them, just accept them as a part of the car.

Now, if the owner wants to fly me to Hawaii to meet with the craftsman himself...
