Internal Fuel Pump

Postby Wayne S » 23 Oct 2008 22:48

Copied from a mate of mines posting on another forum:

My mate has a problem, he has an SD1 sender unit and internal fuel pump but he doesnt have the wire that goes between the two.
Is it a special type of wire...we thought it should be because of the fuel melting the insulation?
anyone any ideas?

Can you help?

Hi Wayne,
I dont beleive that special wiring is required, BMW E39 (5 series)this is a common failure point on them, the connector breaks off the wiring and have replaced a few over the years with no repeated failure or worse a fire [:0]
Try these guys i have used them with all the wiring on my V8 conversion-

Or these guys on this SD1 forum-
