Daytime TV

Postby RUDDY » 23 Oct 2008 20:16

As I am retired I have the opportunity to sample some daytime tv, classic 70's/80's shows mainly, surprising how often a wedge appears.

Was watching 'Return of The Saint' today, I might add this was during a break form removing underseal from my mates MK1 Escort project, when one of the lead actors points out the window to her blue wedge in the carpark, OOM372R , got itself quite a bit of airtime.

Also seems to be quite a few on 'Bergerac' from time to time, not to mention the Professionals and many others.

Oh the joy of being able to watch daytime TV. But, I must say I havn't seen a 7 on TV for years. The other day we were watching a
repeat of "mythbusters" and my son insisted a 7 was going to be trashed by 2 trucks coming from either direction - I thought oh no ... but on closer inspection it was a Fiat X19 (I even had to show him an X19 on the internet just to convince him!) It was still
sad 'cuz I used to love them too.

I saw that show and thought it was a shame too. In California where the show is filmed and the car is king for that last 50 years an X19 is just another old car. I thought they could have at least used a Datson B210 or something like that.
