Hey TR7 FHC,

Have you had any progress from your solicitors? It would be good to hear of a positive outcome for you.

Cheers,

Adam

Hi tr7_FHC
How insensitive of me not to mention
My deepest sorrow for the your loss.
The good news is that it's not final
So you have to spend some moneys to get it fixed ,so what .when you got the car you were resigned to the spending lots of it anyways,
for this, or for that ,it's all the same.
You found the fool that disrespected your Babe,
make him pay ,
make him beg for forgivenes ,
make sure that next time he gets even close to another TR of any kind,
he should switch lanes ,
park,
turn the corner
or better yet bow down to it ,
quick and fast before the samurai cuts his head off,
for being disrespecful in the presence of greatness.
my deepest apologies for not mentioning this before and just talking about my meager problems.
I respecfully apologize
Have Fun
Be Safe
Zeke

Great news - sounds like you are heading in the right direction at last, good luck.

Have they agreed to pay out verbally or do you have it on paper?

Cheers
Ian

I hope it all works out for you.

However, don't forget this person drove uninsured, then performed a hit and run on your 7 and only owned up to it when the police got involved. Morals aren't their strong point and I hope they keep their word about paying up. You may still have to go legal to get your money especially when they realise the size of the bill / estimate.

Additionally, they weren't too bright about keeping their damaged Nissan on the road locally for all to see. I admire your determination and detective work that found it but only an idiot commits a hit and run only to leave the car round the corner, outside their own home, with yellow transferred paint on it.

I hope you get paid out quickly but my gut instinct says that you may have a few hiccups along the way so be prepared just in case. Much the same happened to me with a next door neighbour and we shared the same driveway! Dopey dishonest people don't make for the best combination.

Cheers,

Adam

Just an update on this topic, after nearly a year i have recieved some compensation for the car, however I now dont have the time to get the car back on the road. so its up for sale as spares or repairs.

the shell is fixable given the time, however it would be a good source for parts.

it has the following :

new water pump, carb rebuild, head gasket. stainless exhaust. rebuilt 5 speed gearbox, polybushes all round. very good green check interior. new windscreen and tyres.

have 4 alloy wheels that need a refurb, some other spares and manuals.

looking for offers around £300.

collection from Yeovil in Somerset

email me on rhumphris@hotmail.com if interested.

Best regards to all who have assisted me from this forum during my time here.

That's sad news. I hope you find yourself another wedge some day & have better luck with it.
