Hazard switch

The hazard light switch has an area on top that is red. Is it suppose to flash when the switch is actived? My hazard lights work but no flashing in the switch.

Yes, there is a light installed.

Now it could be burned out, doubt it, or a bad connection at the switch.
Remove the switch cover plate, and then the switch. Carefully dissemble the switch from the back and clean the contacts. Test the light also before you put it all back together.
