It is my belief that this forum is not affiliated with any Club, which is one of the reasons it thrives, as my past experience on other forums have shown.
They are very opinionated on their club,Cars and other clubs.
In no way do you get the vibe as you do with this forum that everyone on here are like good mates you can have differences of opinions and disagreement on issues but we all stay freinds.
we have a joke as well as sharing invaluable advise.
This is the one forum where there seems very little need to be policed, looking at the various other forums i can see that the "Gods" that run it will pull articles becuase they may offend.
I'm sure we would not be having this discussion on other forums.
I find Richards site a very good data base and for the penny's it costs i tend to join it when i want the infomation it holds and then the following year i don't, my choice.
i appreciate what he has done for the TR7-8 name and wish he didn't charge, but he dose it's his site his choice and our choice to join or not
For the record if someone said what's the best resource for the TR7 it's this site here, every time. opinions from around the world. not becuase it's free. Because of the enthusiasm that runs through it's pages.
As far as Clubs go and this will upset some but it's ineviatable and that all clubs will have to support each others events to survive.
The good news is at local level this is already happening. I didn't particulary agree with Richard joining up with the Register and not staying independant as that looked suspect to me. but then i'm from an age when there was. avid rivarlry from the too main Tr clubs.
But time has passed and the thoughts are back with the car's rather than the individuals or the groups,
Long live all the clubs and all the forums. choice is good If someone takes the time to organise something. Support it.
who really cares if it was Club Triumph, Tr Drivers, Tr Register, Richard, jay, John with his DVD or any body else.
oh and one other observation this forum shouts out that the people who own these cars do just that we enjoy owning and driving them
"this has not been a party political broadcast on behalf of the Triumph movemnt" [:D] just my opinion
