Just thought I'd give you all an update to say I'm still around and fill on what's been happening with KBA...
Well to be honest not a lot over the winter, she got a bit of use when the weather was nice enough up to Christmas but there seemed to be something up with the tuning as she was getting awkward to start and wasn't running totally smoothly.
After xmas she stayed fairly undisturbed in the garage thanks to the wonderful British weather and it was probably late feb, early march that I tried to get her on the road again, without much success, the engine refused to start! I tried re-setting the carbs but it didn't help! I eventually worked out that there was a lack of a spark at the plugs... I then tried replacing the coil a couple of weeks ago, no success, so then tried the points... and had issues with setting the gap!
In the end she ended going back to Willow Triumph, Tim Willis picked her up, tried to get her started without any luck and realised that there was play in the inner workings of the distributor, something my lack of experience hadn't picked up on!
After the nightmare I had with the points I got him to put electronic ignition on there for me, and he's done a repair on the body of the distributor but there's still some play there. This means I'm going to need to get a replacement distributor at some point soon, at the moment it leads to the engine coughing from time to time, mainly under hard-ish acceleration, but once she settles down she cruises pretty well.
He also gave her a pre-MOT checkover, fixed a couple of other things and got the MOT done for me, which she has passed [:)]
So basically to cut a long story short, KBA's not done a lot over the winter months, but she's running again now (albeit not the smoothest until I get the distributor sorted). And now the weather's improving (touch wood, don't want to jinx it [:P]) so she should be getting some regular use, and hopefully will finally manage to get to some events!

Keeping KBA on the road!
