Hi Tony, ive got the greay dash, console etc, to be honest if i could get away with just changing the seats that would be great, originally i wanted green/check as i thought it would go better with the car being Inca Yellow in colour, problem i would have if i did change all that would be i would have to change the other parts in the car that were blue, yes i could respray them i qiess but places like up were the sunvisors lock onto etc didnt make it viable, i have just about all i need interior wise to put back on the car when im finsihed, but just cant decide on what to do, i think i'll just have to be patient and wist and see if someone puts them on ebay, or if anyone on here decides to sells there's, ohh and ive decided im gonna have when the casr is finished the yellow dashboard kit from Dash Dynamics, i think it will look so good on mine, after all my kids think my car is the sunshine car, and it always makes me smile!

The check (plaid) seats and door cards (large check are early, later were smaller check) are very 70's with an Austin Powers aura. If this is the effect you want then you just have to decide what colour combination are your preference. Very early TR7's had solid black vinyl as did the 1980 Spider. Can't go wrong with basic black which matches everything. The very latest TR7's had velour inserts which was a more modern luxurious effect. If you are doing a pretty much complete restoration, ie new paint etc. putting anything less than new or new looking door cards and seat covers in it will make it stand out as an inconsistant restoration with a less than satisfying result.

You wouldn't think it would be so hard to decide, would you Steve? Maybe the best option to save having to change a lot of other interior trim is just to watch out for some decent early seats in the black fabric finish. Like Spyder says, black goes with everything.

It's an easy job to change the seats so bide your time until the right bits come along - you never know you might find a car being scrapped with a decent interior so you can get door trims, visors & other parts.

Hey Chris - is that drag car road legal or where you on private ground[:D]? Quite a trip I am sure, wherever you were.

Tony, it was at Malvern, on private ground. Dont think it could be made road legal with its locked diff.
