The rare Fiat TR7!

Postby stever_sl » 28 Oct 2007 21:16

I remember when the TR7 came out it was touted as an "extreme wedge" (compared to what?) and it was often compared to the Fiat X1/9 (later badged as Bertone.) But I've never seen anybody get quite THIS confused before: http://nh.craigslist.org/car/453456056.html

Note that the ad helpfully says that the car has been previously owned, in case a prospective buyer might think it was a brand new 1980 Fiat Triumph TR7, and the "6 cylinder engine" is a bit of a poser...presumably it got a GM V-6 conversion at some point, or else the seller can't count spark plugs any better than they can read a title.

seems like a typical used car lot, where the sales staff know nothing at all about what their selling............

Could be a good deal though, if the rest of the car is as straight as it apears in the photos!

hmmmn well it would make it extremly rare being a FIAT TR7 but i guess you wouldn't put it pass BL to move production there i would have preferred a Ferrari TR7 reference [:D]
