Hi Chris,
Was following the chat on " The List " yesterday and I personally buy a gasket and use as a template to make a cover up out some aluminium. The other possibility may be find another application for the pump, I bet it was used or at least the body would have been on numerous cars ' back in the day ' and see if blanking plates are available for them, for instance the gasket is the same as a MG Spridget....
