another step closer :)

Postby Adam Parr » 24 Apr 2009 02:52

Heya everyone,
Just thought i'd post an update on the progress of my restoration project.

i just ordered 2 band new seat belts to be made up for my 7. I should have them within the next week or two. after i install them all i need to get hold of is some mirrors (the mounts to be specific) and then i can go for a RWC and register the car!

once the car is registered i can start looking around for a good place to get it resprayed.

I have a few ideas about what else i want to do to it (engine transplant) but for the time being I'd just be happy to have my pride and joy on the road.

Good Adam.

Now get into it, & you can have it registered for mother's day.

Then bring it to the mother's day sports car show, at Macleans
Bridge, just before Jimboomba, on the way to Beaudesert.

It's run by the Triumph Sports Owners Association of QLD, & we
always need more wedges. It could be embarrasing, this year. Last
year there were more Morgans than TRs, almost as many Morgans as all
the Triumphs.

A mate of mine, & I were foundation members of the Morgan Owners
club of Oz, 50 years ago, would you believe. He was there last year
with a newish +8, he'd just bought, & has threatened to have more
Morgans than Triumphs there this year. So come along, if you can, &
help protect our pride.

Hope to see you there, I'll have the 8 there for the first time,
this year.

Its always great to hear another wedge is about to start tearing up the roads. Our cars definateley look better while moving. Engine conversions always make interesting stories as long as it isn't a rotary. [xx(][:D]

No Adam, I have only made it to the Tunstall workshop day, so far
this year.

I'll be at Meclanes bridge, helping to set up for the show, on the
saturday, & the show on mothers day.

It would be great if you can get the car ready by then, but if not,
come along for the fun.
