Bracing rear floor

I am looking for some info on bracing rear floor above
the connection point of the rear arms.
Better safe than sorry.

Unless you want to do soem rather competitve driving, I wouldn't bother.
Just make sure there's no rust and get rid of those big holes (weld them up decently).

I thought about connecting the rails as in the Lanocha pictures but deemed it overkill with my engine combination. My car was relatively solid in the floor area but had a bit of rust right where the floor pan attaches and a few spotwelds were loose. Some of this may have been agravated from the collision damage. My thoughts were that if I tied the lower point into the seat mount members, it would be plenty strong enough. Just some backyard engineering on my part.
