Rear Disc Brakes for a 1980 TR7

Postby hotrodlr » 21 Jan 2009 23:39

Has anyone ever put Disc Brakes on the rear of a TR7, if so what did they use. Also, will a General Motors Power Master cylinder booster and master cylinder fit.

There was a great thread on this last fall. Looks like an easy conversion with minimal fabrication required.

jclay & others-
I will take the bracket for the ford calipers to the machine shop this weekend and get an estimate for a few sets to be made. This was on a previous thread & it is also on jclay's website too.

Thanks for all of the info. It looks like something I can do, but first I want to find a rear axle to practice on, hopefully with a higher speed ratio than the one I have now which is 3:96, then I can change out rear end and do brakes at the same time.
