super cover sticker

Postby gaz » 25 May 2008 17:56

just noticed a super cover sticker on fleebay if anyone is interested:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1970s-British-Ley ... dZViewItem

they were at at the time of purchase given in a pack along with AA cover
although mine is and i assume they were all like this a cardboard sticker with
the details of the owner and reg number of the car printed on the back with clear instuctions to place it at the top of the windscreen

for anyone looking for a bit more authenticity its the perfect buy

It rides again

Was the Super Cover option available in the US? Did US cars get the stickers?

Hi Jclay,
Not 100% sure on that, we fixed these to the screen on PDI (pre-delivery inspection) A lot of people made use of the AA side of the cover [;)]
Cheers John

Supercover was for the UK only, it included AA cover as well as the chance to extend the warranty.

John-I looked at the "repro rear window sticker" in that link, and for some reason, the seller says they are a "repro of the 1972 Triumph TR7 sticker...",um I thought we in the states did't get the car until 1975,and you guys got it the following year? It's a neat sticker, just wondered what the discrepancy was.

I still want one though[;)]
