There are pictures on this site on how to fold the top. Descriptive wise undo the poppers on each side. Undo the velcro strip in the top rear. push the top up and back, pulling the top to the rear of the trunk away from the frame. Fold down the frame tight. Fold over the two corners trying to crease the quarter windows as little as possible. Fold the back towards the front. Install the hood cover. May make more sense with the pictures. If you don't install the cover drive highway speeds with at least one window up (I prefer the passenger window) or the wind will catch it and flip it back on the trunk. Back window does not have to be unzipped although I unzip it when I put it up as the stiff vinyl makes it hard to snap down the latches (unless it's quite warm out, the hotter the better).
My hood is 34 years old and while a little stiff, it is water proof except when you come to a stop it will leak a little at the top of the quarter lite down on your hand on the steering wheel. If it is a driving rain storm and you are stationary it may leak a little on the inside of the side windows. I drove through a driving rain storm from Forks, WA to Aberdeen with no leakage while moving. In other words it's better than it seems.
