Darrell-Its an easy fit like you mention! I went with a new panel since I changed tachs but either way it blends in with the stock gauges pretty well.

Thanks whoever straightened my picture - Photobucket seems to have changed and I haven't caught up! There was not meant to be a link.
There is a downside to having an oil pressure gauge - you feel you have to keep checking it in case. I think I was happier not knowing before I fitted it.

Yah, I know what you mean. I went down to San Diego and back (over 5,000 Km) and never thought about oil pressure once.

On the other hand, a club member brought his TR7 with newly installed oil pressure gauge, half way to Picnic in the Park and his oil pressure dropped to 10 lbs. He decided to go back and by the time he got back home it had dropped to zero. I (and Ron) told him to check his pressure relief valve and sure enough the spring was in three pieces. Parts on order, no apparent engine damage but time will tell when he gets it back together.[:p]

When fitting an oil pressure gauge does it matter if there's air in the pipe that connects it?

Finally remembered to get a photo of my Smiths mechanical oil pressure gauge to include here. Not a style match but I like it.
