Yes, some pics would be really interesting.
Many years ago I went on a TR Register event which devoted half a day to lead loading. Half of my effort ended up on the floor but in the hands of an expert it was very impressive.
The seams on the front and rear wings of my DHC were all filled flush when given a bare metal re spray by Grinnal. I was told that the seams would be filled with weld. They are still holding up 25 years later. IIRC S&S told me they similarly welded the joins together but ground in a thin line to demonstrate that there was a seam there.
