Where to mount inertia switch?

Postby omichaelshar » 30 Jan 2009 06:11

In putting DCOE45 on the sprint I am replacing the mech fuel pump with a solid state unit and regulator.

I am going to mount the pump from the spare RH exhaust hanger on the rear bulkhead (under the diff tie bar) and hang the regulator and filter from the RH strut turret.

Obviously, I want to wire in an inertia switch.

Where is the best place to mount it?

Owen

ps - I am also planning to plumb the reg return to the evap loss return line. Does this sound ok or do I need to route the return by another line?

On fuel injected cars, it's mounted on the left inside fender below the brake master cylinder.

1980 TR7 Spider, Bosch Jetronics EFI.
