Oil Pressure Sender

Postby Shauniedawn » 29 Dec 2007 23:14

Now then.

Bin making an adapter for an oil pressure gauge and standard switch.

Although I've now overcome the problem, am still interested if anyone out there can identify the thread that's used on the aforementioned sender. It's clearly a tapered thread, but it certainly isn't a 28TPI 1/8 BSP as I suspected (well it is now as I've re-cut the thread).

I've had the thread gauge on it and had a look in my Zeus tables, but it doesn't seem to be there. Is it a metric ******* size?

Your comments appreciated.

Yes - pretty sure it is 1/8 NPT. Seems to be standard for oil pipe connection on BMC cars at least.
