Postby john 215 » 28 Apr 2016 07:11

At least a more knowledgeable magazine such as Classiccarsforsale have lept to our car's defence.

My gosh, the TR7 being called a "national treasure". What is the world coming too? Are people starting to see what we have seen all along and now starting to like out treasures.

And 7's are still a bargain buy compared to other 2 seaters........and reliable once sorted. That sounds much like that other Triumph from the 70's, the Stag.

IMHO the low value hasn't done wedges any favours over the years. Great if you're doing a home or rolling restoration. Not so great if you're one of those who are more money orientated and plowing several thousand more in to a car that it will be worth afterwards doesn't float your boat.

Not one for the purists, but I don't know of anything else that comes close in £'s per performance once a RV8 and proper conversion kit is installed. Then again it's not exactly a sluggard in standard form but that's not for me. (My daily drive is an early Mk3 MX5)
