Carburetter linkage

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Carburetter linkage

Postby sonscar » 30 Mar 2015 14:36

Went to the Practical Classics show at the weekend and looked at some TR7's.On my car the forks that operate the throttle face towards the motor, and on the first car I looked at they pointed the opposite way, away from the motor.A second car had them pointing the same way as mine, toward the motor.A search on the forum for carb pictures shows both directions at various times. Is there a correct way?Can it be reassembled incorrectly(correctly) with the same components?Looking forward to your views Steve..
