My DHC has very little space between the plastic grilles and the top of the bumper, but then it does have a bit of end droop which may be raising the middle of it. I think there may be a differnce between the DHC and the FHC as the bumpers and grilles are different (grille is deeper on the DHC to hide the gap behind the 'harmonic damper' bumper).

Very little space on my DHC beetween grille and bumper. I didn't have any damper droop but I let them off anyways to see if I could notice any difference (I couldn't really). I did my front bumper last year. Can't remember now but is it possible to put the mouting brackets on upside down?
