WELL HAVIN STRIPPED DOWN MY HEADLAMP AN FOUND THE SPLINE IN THE MOTOR HAD COME AWAY FROM THE PLASTIC BEARING WHICH CONTROLS THE WINDER WELL I HAD BRAIN WAVE TOOK IT TO LOCAL GARAGE GOT HIN TO DRILL N CARFULLY WELD IT NOW IT APPEARS TO BE WORKING FINE OFF THE CAR WILL FIT IT TOMORRO OH THE JOYS OFF BRITISH MOTORING Y SPEND 100S WEN U CAN GET IT DON 4 A FIVER LOL[:D]

Yup, most times cheap to fix. No spending thousands on air bags to update (they have a shelf life). No spending thousand + on ECU's, many thousands on hybrids batteries every 5 to 7 years, no $600 head gaskets, no $10,000 to replace transmissions. We've got it easy.

an best of all its true british even the car goes on strike when she wants lol but she looks cool after 28 yrs how many cars of today can say that plus its simple mechanics only thing wrong is the 28 yrs of owners messin with the wiring or usin to much underseal to hide dodgy welding lol still love her tho

absolutly stephen learned a lot about cars owning Triumphs but been well worth it and cheap without a doubt

add the satisfaction of fixing a problem yourself and if carling made cheap fun classic cars then this would be it lol

[8 whole cylinders worth of punch to ram the world through the windshield and out the rear view mirror. Car & Driver]
