Rimmers body kits

I am looking at buying myself a tr7, if I find a nice one I think I'd like to get a Rimmers body kit put on. Has anyone done this before or have any experience of costs to get one fitted or even how hard it was to do a good job yourself?

Either the mk2 or mk3 body styling kit, whats the difference other than the look of it?

Costs should be on the Rimmers website: www.rimmerbros.co.uk , they show both in the catalogue, £258.75 for the Mk 2 but Mk 3 not given in the price list I have. They would of course need fitting and finishing (spraying).

I'm going to jump into this question too. Two questions really. First - that picture from jclay, has body color bumpers. I picked up a parts car with a body color bumper. How do they do that? It seems like such a hard shell, like hard plastic not the soft rubber-like of the black bumper. Is it the same bumper with layers of paint? Is there a trick to painting plastic?
Seond question, more related to this post; I also have been considering one of the kits from Rimmers but unsure which to purchase. They don't have many good pictures. Does anyone have pictues and/or experience with these? Are there other kits on the market besides the MK2 and MK3?

I find it "somewhat" amusing how Rimmer is claiming to have built the first TR 7/8 body kit? I'm thinkin Ken Slagle,(SCCA/GT1), Bob Tullius(Group 44) and Huffaker Engineering all made, serious body kits and SOLD them. Let's give credit where it's due shall we? If it wasn't for the skilled/dedicated racing efforts of these groups and others,TR 7/8's would be just another British car with no history. roverman[:(]

Back to an older question - Anybody have any experience with prep and paint of these plastic bumbers? I've worked on a lot of old cars but never painted plastic bumbers before.
