That's one very thorough job on that fuel tank [;)]

Twin hole tanks are far and few between. I've installed the gas tank but first I removed the pump/filter cluster to make it easier. I then fitted the inlet pipe through the trunk access hole. The toughest part was tightening the jubilee clamp at the tank but once I found the way it wasn't too bad. I first screwed the top of inlet hose then pushed in the rubber hose on to the tank. Time to put some gas in and check for leaks. Oh, you'll notice I painted the tail pipe and muffler with POR-15 hopefully to make it last longer, no rusting from the outside and most trips are long enough to evaporate any condensate.

I used chrome allen head screws to secure the top of inlet hose, an idea I got from someone on this forum. No problem uncrewing them now.

Final post on this project (I hope). Tank's in, rear suspension on. I put the upper and lower links onto the body first as that end had the soft poly bushings and the hard poly bushings would go in easier on the axle. Bled the brakes all round as I took off the newer (three years) rubber hoses and put on braided to see if I could tell the difference. The rubber hoses will go on the Yellow TCT when it's time. You can see from the picture below my $5 one way bleeder. A magnet holds it handy on metal, works great.

I POR-15'd the axle, links, springs and anti roll bar even though they weren't bad but as they were out anyway.....the white shocks are Koni's (I took off the decal) and were good even though they've been on since 1999 at least.

I got the braided brake hoses from the Rimmers winter sale flyer for cheap.

Only thing left is to fill the diff, put it's weight on the wheels to torque the lower links. Hopefully all will be well. Father's Day Picnic at Beacon Hill Park, Victoria this Sunday. (Usually 250 cars show up although weather is going to be iffy).
