Postby busheytrader » 11 Apr 2008 15:41

Who's going to try this first and report back?

Supplied flat pack and sounds like it works on the Dyson principle

Wow, that looks great!

If I fit three of those, that means I'll double my power, and use virtually no fuel at the same time! [8D]

He's just picked up a neg - looks like it doesn't work (not in English). Most other comments are re his postage and packing, hardly a testimonial of how good it is in service...

http://www.kirotv.com/consumer/2220354/detail.html

Every now and then TV station "consumer reporters" do a story on these
gadgets...no improvement. In my best guess, and TR7 EFI would do
better if the air stream through the intake system didn't have to travel through 5 bends from from the air filter to the cylinder, nor
have to travel through a bunch of welded soup cans representing a prototype intake manifold.

Please don't laugh.

About 12 years ago, a mate asked me to install those economy
improving magnets on the fuel systems of our compamy cars. All the
petrol cars showed about 5% improvement in mileage. The diesel utes,
& the light truck showed no change. He said these results were common.

Some of the staff did not know they were on the cars, so the results
are probably true.

As he hoped to sell the things to the transport industry I never
heard of them again.

I can remember these swirl inducing mpg increasers from back in the day when I was reading my dad's Mechanix Illustrated waiting for my 16th birthday so I could legaly drive on the roads. (I'm 62 now).

Welded soup cans eh? I always knew those air plenums where home made.[:)]
