Located a 1977 TR7 and want to look at it this week end. It’s orange with black/plaid interior and he said black stripes. I have not seen any pictures yet but the owner claims the body is rust free and has only one dent on the rear quarter. He told me it only has 43,000 original miles it starts and runs great but the tires are pretty much rotting off the car. He got it from a lady who took it from her husband in a divorce 15 or so years ago and it just sat in the garage the whole time. Since he bought it they but on a new exhaust which he said was close to $800.00. He did say the seats are rough which seems odd for a car with only 43,000 miles on it. The price is $1000.00 If it is everything he said is can I go wrong on the car? He did say the paint was faded and it would need buffing out but still in good shape.
What do all of you think? Is the price about right or is it a great deal (if as he states in great shape)
I paid more for my 76 that needs work.[:I]
I was thinking I could use the 77 as a template for putting the 76 back together and then sell the 76 and keep the 77.
