Stupid Mother Nature

Postby Spectatohead » 18 Feb 2010 20:44

It's 61 Degrees Fahrenheit outside at lunch time. The sun is shining and the cherry blossoms and daffodils are starting to bloom. It's not supposed to be this nice this early in the year. I am aching to take a drive with the top down but the car is up on stands with the rear axle laying on the floor waiting for me to finish taking out the fuel tank. I opened the sun roof on the Maxima but it is a poor substitute. I need to get going on finishing this up so I'm not tortured by every nice day that comes along.

I sympathize. We hit about 58F in the high desert of Oregon(US) and the best I could do was open the garage door for some sunshine. Mine is up on jackstands as well waiting a gearbox mount and a complete interior. The good news is I'm expecting my shipment of goodies next week from the UK.

Started gettin her goin a year ago-march....still workin' at it. But even if she was ready to go....Id never get her outta the garage, till I find a place to move all the Snow! LOL!![:0]

Hey Johnny,

If we had that much snow, or if it were in the 40s and raining like usual, it wouldn't bother me that it was still up on jack stands. We are having another sunny 60 so odd degree day today, and it's killing me that I can't take a spin and enjoy it. We don't get weather like this in February very often here in Vancouver, Washington. Since my job is ending next week maybe I can finish the work on the 8 up before looking for new employment.

I'm in the same boat, clear blue skies and warm. Up on jackstands for fuel filter replacement, was going to pull gas tank to check it and paint rear suspension but everything looks so new under there I'll short circuit it and just replace the filter. I'll drain the transmission to test another type of oil and also the cooling system as I have a pin hole in expansion tank seam that I'd like to resolder. But first have to finish watching Olympics. This good weather is killing me.[:)]
