dan18018,
the inline resister is actual a wire which is steel stranded instaed of Copper, its white / pink line.
The 6v feed starts of white wire from the fuse holder then pop through into the engine bay just and then the White / pink wire then goes back into the loom and then final changes again to a white / grey line to the coil. You see the engine bay jointed wire on the coil side of the bulkhead with a black heat shrink sleeve on it.
Hope this helps.
Another common problem with the coil electrics is the feed from the coil to the Distributor uses a spade / female connection sometime is bare and shorts out to the engine or bulkhead so stopping your engine.
Hope this helps.
