Harris Mann Watering Can

Postby John Clancy » 03 Oct 2009 18:00

I'm often asked about the Harris Mann designed watering can but always have to admit that I failed to ask further details other than what was already on the DVD. I felt a bit too embarrassed to ask him to get it out of the shed. Anyway, tonight I plucked up the courage and asked him and he told me the make. So if you want another piece of Harris Mann styling to go in your garage next to your iconic TR7, the above link takes you to what you need to purchase.

Easy to fill from your water butt.....uh, what's that mean.

Thanks John for the info. I had often wondered what it would look like.

Wow, I have had one of these for years and not realised!!
I did an Open University design and innovation course a while ago and that watering can was given as an example of a classic design for easy manufacturing.

We have a very similar looking watering can but our one is a rip-off which is interesting because not only has Harris Mann's TR7 design been ripped-off for years but even his watering can has been too.

So what is it today then?

Thanks for sorting the DVD it arrived on Friday! What postal strike?

John your best production to date - brought back loads of memories of my MK2 spit with the lenham hardtop.

Cheers

Glad it got to you in good time Ian. Shame I didn't know about the watering can before I completed the DVD as I could have included the information as an update... I'm sure that would have fascinated Spitfire owners! Still, TR7 enthusiasts would have been amused.

In Viz a random photograph of someone would always be captioned "Person's Name, yesterday."
