Light Weight bumpers

Doing some fiberglas and body repairs on the race car, so I ttok some pictures showing theone piece front bumper/spolier and the rear bumper. Here are the pictures. Show how the interior framing has been trimmed for weight on the rear. The front assembly weighsvery little.

Looks good. I hope you don't have to make too many of those! The front spoilers are always on the receiving end when the car goes cross-country. [}:)]

When are you planning to have the car ready?

I could use those brake cooling ducts on mine.[}:)]

A little tip from an old bodyman.. Don't put filler on until you are ready to sand it. If you catch it at just the right time as it kicks but isn't fully set, it sands like butter. Once fully set it becomes very hard to sand. No offence to your work, just trying to make life a bit easier for you.[:)]

My timing is really bad, but the weather is worse. I got all the fiberglas done before the temperature went below 70. The bondo wasn't all that extensive. Just wanted to get the smelly stuff done before it goes in the garage for the winter. No real schedule or purpose for the car at this point. Trying to restore it the way it was when Ron took the pictures of it in Montreal in 1982.
