big thanks RED

Postby birminghamtr7 » 01 Aug 2009 17:32

a big thanks red for lending me your tr7 seat. just got back and fitted it.sat in my car for the first time proper in 6 years, ( big grin ) started engine as always ( big grin ) pressed clutch i had fitted 1 year ago and filled with oil for the first time this morning
put her in 1st and it moved under its own steam for the first time in a long long 6 years, a good 10 foot!!!!!!. ( bigger of biggest grins ) pressed brakes i had fitted god knows when also only bled this morning, and it stopped all's looking good. tomorrow i have to repaint unit floor so i wouldnt be surprised if i have a quick spin around the block. weather permiting

My unit is almost empty keys back to landlord on monday, car straight round to my friends garage same estate, for a few minor issues, whilst im in limbo waiting for lease on new place. oil leak gasket i think, new tyres and tracking, M O T
thats why i needed seat. Then its just a few odds and sods, get my seats back and get roof fitted but with mot i can drive there. Then i intend to bloody well enjoy it before doing anything so silly again......

Red i will get your seat back to you as soon as i can. if you require sooner within next week and half email or text me. You have got me out of a big hole...

No worries mate - it was just sitting in my loft gathering dust anyway!
Better to have it out, helping another car get back on the road. Glad I could help, hope the MOT goes OK.
Just bring it back when you're good and ready, I really won't need it until next summer at the earliest! [:)]

Luckily it wasn't named the 2nd Best TR7/8 Forum on the Net - because it would've been wrong.
