Thanks for the pics John, always enjoy those (especially as I wasn't there!)

That TVR Tasmin coupe is a rare thing. Does the next picture about the "Garden Find from Croydon" relate to the Tasmin?

Hi Tony,

Yes indeed, a rare car any day but number 2 !!! Going to need some work but well worth it, Ford V6 powered, looks like 2.8 Colnge engine to me -

And not the only TVR that had been woken up -

Another rare car was this very futuristic Marcos concept car, recently restored -

Yes John, that would be a Cologne V6 in the Tasmin. I have always liked the shape of those coupe TVRs.

And that blue car looks like a 420 SEAC! Now there's a beast - I believe part of the bodywork is Kevlar to reduce weight, that must be a one of the first uses of composite material for bodywork in a car.

You've got to be more than young at heart to get in and out of that Marcos.

A friend of mine once built a Spitfire with a TR6 engine churning out a reputed 180bhp. When it wasn't lunching diffs, it was perhaps the scariest car I ever drove. I can't imagine that blue Spit is any less frightening to drive.

When I had my 2nd TR7 many moons ago one of the chaps sharing a house with some friends of mine bought a spitfire with a TR6 engine - it was a nice idea but bloody useless on hot days (when you would want to use it). It would do about 500 yards and the fuel would vaporise vapour lock and the car would die. This was embarrassing for the owner but hilarious for everyone else. However when it did work it was very quick although probably not the safest.
