There was a garage running a scheme like that back in the late 70's/80's in Milton Keynes. As far as I recall it didn't last long. The story was that it tended to be packed over the weekends and dead during the weeks and so the people wnating to use it got fed up of not being able to get in when they wanted/needed to. I think they also had problems with the H&S guys. Pity as it's a nice idea if it could be made to work at a sensible price.</font id="green">

I haven't seen this before but it sounds immediately suspicious.

How would you organise such a business when you'd have to deal with amateur enthusiasts like us, and still make money? It would be empty Mon - Fri, 9 - 5. Jobs always take us longer than we expect, nuts and bolts are rusted up when they look fine. "I booked that hoist for 10:00am, what are you still doing here?" etc etc.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.[:0]
