Hi all

I'm new to your forum so posting to say hello

I have just been given a 1980 TR7 FHC with webasto roof, it needs lots and lots of TLC but i will get her going soon i hope, its had most of the welding done but now needs paint and all the interior putting in like the worlds biggest jigsaw as i didn't take it apart!

I hope to speak to some of you soon

a good help for reassembly of the interior are the pictures from the rimmer bross or moss parts catalogue, at least they can help to trigger you memory of how the car looked before you took it apart.

I was new once.

Looks like you have a big job ahead of you...and behind you...and on either side as well. We will all be looking forward to you getting your 7 back on the road.

I'd encourage you to start a blog (in the Member's Blog section) so you can document the whole process for your grandchildren. It's also very inspiring for other forum members to see the progress you make.

Welcome to the forum. Not an easy job when you haven't disassembled stuff AND taken digital pictures as you went. But with perseverance, parts books and the help of this forum it can be done. Just remember that the journey can be fun as well as the destination.

In the end you will know the car better than those who didn't travel that road.

In Staffordshire eh? I'll be at the Stafford Show Ground this Sunday... it's the Triumph Sports Six Club national weekend. So if you fancy a feast of Triumph's of all varieties to whet your appetite for getting the TR7 back together, see you there!

Looks like we'll be bringing two of the Canley engineers responsible for the car too - the chap who did most of the handling/road testing and the main chap behind the TR7 interior. For those that don't know, Harris Mann didn't do the interior, it was all done at Triumph.
