Front suspension Gaiters

Just a thought

does anyone know of a modern equivbilant gaiter that will suit this purpose say off a FOrd or Vauxhaul one i can just go and pick up, As with some of these items they can cost less than the postage

John, I remember Ghostbuster, when he was with us, found a gaiter,
with a built in bump stop, for a modern, that suited our cars.

Unfortunately, I lost all that stuff when the computer caught a
cold, or something. Perhaps someone will remember.

try to look on the cars that have the simmilar front suspension (shock absorber as a cartridge) like vw golf mk1 , toyota corolla ae86,ae85

on the other hand some cars , like my daily driver 230E has the gaiter that is not fixed on the McPhearson leg but its held on by a plastic clip. so that the upper part is free to move , that way you can fit almost any gaiter.

worst case scenario, measure the available space or old gaiter and go to the locar auto parts store and ask them to allow you to poke around their storage.

Hopefully a decent local motor factor should carry them and have 7's in his books. One of mine still does. They were shared with several other cars but I can't remember which ones.

Be carefull with the strut gaiters, there are 2 different thicknesses. The ones from S+S and Robsport seem to be thicker and last longer. I have bought them from elsewhere and they were thinner material and split within 3 months.
