I have 4 x spotlamp steadies ready to fit. I need to get the lights wired up and aimed correctly before fitting the steadies because it seems i've only got one shot at getting it right. Drilling holes in the body and getting it wrong would not be good!
Thanks for the kind comments, i've always had this vision of opening the garage door and having a 1970s rally car staring back at me. It gives you "that" feeling if you know what i mean! I've a long way to go yet, stripping the shell and giving it the "Beans" treatment, LSD, Strengthening the rear suspension mounts, attempting to gusset the front turrets or maybe just getting a full on roll cage, etc etc. Oh and i really, really must uprate the brakes[:I] I am now 100% committed. I know it will be nothing but a replica but it will be my replica[:)] and most people as you say will not be bothered either way. As for the rivet counters who approach giving it (in their best train spotting voice) "that's not the correct shade of white" then they will be told where to go[:(!]
So, by suggesting to ditch the graphics do you mean spray it instead? Can be arranged[:p]
Rob.
