Matt colours don't do it for me when it comes to cars but check this video to see for the ultimate black TR7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iypC12RtUnQ

If you want a rat rod either matt colours would work.[:)]

zoe is biased and her car was blue before anyway, i'm currently going for the grey primer/silver/pinkyred/black colourway but hoping to end up burgundy when i finish, my son on the other hand agrees with your father and wants me to spray it matt black....

whatever you pick make sure you let us see, also photoshop seems the tool these days to play about with car colours...[:D]

Luckily not another Triton '7 in the making [:p]

As for the rat look, matt black would be the obvious choice so I'd say go for the red oxide, something completely different

What is wrong with the "Flakey Brown" which all TR7's are finished in?

I like Poseidon green

Haven't quite decided which one yet, so I have a panel in every shade I have found!

Did see a brand new Bentley in kensington last week in Matt black - now that looked really mean!

Cheers

mines currently about to go redprimer too as topping it with burgundy, remember most primers are porous though so will still need sealing, and just found one of those spot media blasters in aldi for a tenner, got it for my father in law as he the one with the compressor but may test it for him......

Personal taste really. If I were to go non original, I love the electric blue on late Corvettes. The darker shades of blue have always been my favorite although keeping after it is as bad a black. I actually was daydreaming about it one day before mine was completely sprayed. Then I reminded myself that the engine bay was already done in persian aqua....DUH[:I] I wasn't about to go back & do it over.
