After all that I'm almost too scared to ask about your thoughts on the 1976 Lombard rally graphics i bought and will be fitting in a few weeks! It will have the sprint engine in by then so will at least have a decent turn of speed to match the looks. I'm assuming it's going to have a decent turn of speed, i have no idea what to expect!
I bought a front and rear hard polybush kit from Robsport today, along with some things for the engine swap such as gaskets, HT leads, Plugs, spin on oil filter conversion and filter, braided hoses, couple of bottom ball joints, strut top bearings, Engine hoses, Clutch release bearing (going to modify the arm), two rear dampers and gaiters for the front ones, throttle cable and brake / reversing switches. The missus thought the time i booked off of work in april was for a holiday. Mwahahahaha.
I don't think my TR7 would reach the 180 or so MPH it would take to get any kind of useful downforce, it was purely for cosmetic reasons!
The garage is full of stuff that was in the shed. I tore it down before it came down on its own and if you look closely you'll see a concrete base for my new workshop which is coming on Wednesday. When it turns up half of that stuff will go in there, the rest will go down the tip and the TR7 can go back in the garage. It's all in hand!
Rob.
