Rear spoiler, good or bad idea?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated, even if it only gets used to push the car!

No real strong feels but I would say it does not really add anything to the car so I would vote no.

Rear spoiler is a matter of taste of course.
I do like a decent rear spoiler as long as it's in the same colour as the car.
This one is on the edge of being to large and round ...

But that roof rack is really a bit over the top i.m.h.o. [:D]

While it is subtle, most can get the feeling that it doesn't really match. Meant for another body shape.

I would also say no, Your car looks good as it is. I've never been a fan of spoilers on TR7's, they just don't seem to work. IMHO.

I totally agree. it was a brand new rover 200 / 400 series spoiler on ebay for £40 so gave it a punt, i thought it was too curved and a bit over the top but from some angles it was OK. You guys have put my mind at rest and the spoiler will join the other novelty purchases at the rear of the garage!

What do you mean the roof rack is over the top? some white paint, few lengths of angle and box section and you'd think it was standard[;)]

Half of all the cars that I have looked at, with a rear aftermarket
spoilers had rust in the boot lid, & often the boot floor, from
water leaking around the bolts.

Even my recently bought Ford Capri, with it's factory fitted
spoiler, leaks into the boot, when I wash it.

Unless you are going to race the thing, you are unlikely to drive
it fast enough to make a spoiler work, anyway, so why stick
extra weight out the back?

Oh, & why don't you fill that garage up with a pile of junk. If you
need help, I've got a dozen saddles, horse rugs & other rubbish,
looking for a home.
